Diving International (TDI)
was formed in 1994 by some of divings most experienced instructors
to bring technical applications of the sport to a wider audience.
TDIs library of training materials and texts have become known as
the industry's best and most professional resources. Most importantly,
TDI has the best safety record of all training agencies. Whether
your interests lie in nitrox, rebreathers, mixed gas or any of the
many other programs that TDI offer, you can be assured that you
will be participating in training that offers you the "cutting edge"
of diving technology. TDI have offices worldwide and over 10,000
instructors teaching their programs. They have become the largest
international specialized dive agency. With diving constantly changing,
their staff are always looking ahead and are striving to continue
their record as the innovators of the technical diving industry.
Under the expert tuition of our Technical Instructor Trainer Dave
Taylor, Deep Tech offers technical diver training from Basic Nitrox,
Decompression procedures and Extended Range up to Basic and Advanced
+44 (0)7977 501183
is the entry level certification course for recreational divers
wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas.
The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits,
hazards and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22% to
40% oxygen content. The absolute beauty with this course is that
you don't have to get wet! One for the blown-out weekend sir? Enjoy
Dave Taylor's easy-to-understand, entry level Nitrox course and
walk away wondering why you didn't do it before!
Pre-requisites: Have a minimum certification of Open Water
Diver or current enrolement in a Open Water Divers course. Be a
minimum age of 15 years.
Basic Nitrox with 1 supervised dive £135
three day course, includes 4 nitrox dives (100 minutes bottom time)
and covers all the topics in the nitrox course in much greater detail,
with in-depth coverage of CNS & whole body oxygen toxicity and tracking,
common mixing methods, best mix computations, decompression gas,
accelerated decompression, dive planning, gas consumption calculations
and equipment considerations, all culminating in certification to
use 22% - 100% (oxygen) as a breathing gas.
Pre-requisites: Nitrox diver or equivalent, 25 logged dives,
minimum 15 years of age. If this course is taught in conjunction
with TDI Decompression Procedures Course, then the minimum age is
18. Cost: £295
three day course examines the theory, methods and procedures of
planned decompression diving, including 4 dives. The program is
designed as a stand alone course or it may be taught in conjunction
with such TDI courses as Advanced Nitrox Course, Advanced Wreck
Course, or Extended Range Course. The objective of this course is
to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression
dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 45 msw (unless taught in conjunction
with the Extended Range Course) The most common equipment requirements,
gear set-up, and decompression techniques are presented, using nitrox
or oxygen mixes within the divers existing qualification.
Pre-requisites: Advanced open water diver or equivalent,
25 logged dives, minimum 18 years of age.
Combined Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures Diver This
four day course includes both the Advanced Nitrox and Decompression
Procedures courses. It is more intensive, but more efficient. It
includes 6 nitrox dives and covers all the topics required to use
mixtures from 40% to 100% for decompression as well as the ability
to perform accelerated stage decompression.
Pre-requisites: Advanced open water diver or equivalent, TDI Basic Nitrox or equivalent,
50 logged dives, minimum 18 years of age.
course provides the training and experience required to competently
use air for dives to 55 metres that require decompression using nitrox
or O2. Training is given in the techniques, equipment requirements,
and hazards of deep air diving. This programme is designed as a stand-alone
course or may be combined with TDI Decompression Procedures Diver
Three day, 6 dives
Pre-requisites: TDI Adv Nitrox or equivalent / minimum of 100 logged dives with
25 deeper than 30m. Equipment Required: Full diving kit based on
a twin set configuration with suitable BCD to accommodate a minimum
of 1 stage cylinder. Minimum age 18 years.
course provides training and experience to competently conduct advanced
wreck dives. This program includes penetration skills and techniques
focusing on the safe use of reels and lines as well as contingency
planning for harsh conditions (rough sea states and poor visibility).
Depths shall not exceed the level in which the diver is trained,
but in no case shall the maximum depth in this program exceed 55m.
The course will include four penetration/overhead dives and an accumulated
bottom time of 100 minutes.
Prerequisites: Advanced sport diver with at least 50 logged dives. Be certified as basic wreck or cavern or equivalent. Minimum of 18 years of age. Price - £300 for the 2 day course
This course provides training and experience to competently conduct technical dives
while utilizing a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV). Depths shall not exceed the level in
which the diver is trained and competent, but in no case shall the maximum depth in this
program exceed 55 msw. The objective of this
course is to train divers in the proper techniques, skills, knowledge, organization,
procedures, equipment requirements, problems and hazards of utilizing a DPV while
conducting technical dives in Non-overhead environments.
Prerequisites: Have at least 50 logged dives. Have a minimum certification of TDI Decompression Procedures Diver or
equivalent. Be certified as SDI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Specialty diver or
equivalent. Be a minimum of 18. Price - £300 for the 2 day course (DPV hire is a further £20 per day).
This course provides the training required to competently and safely
utilize breathing gasses containing helium for dives that require
staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during
decompression to a maximum depth of 200fsw/60msw. This course is
for the serious diver and requires a high level of commitment and
dedication to safety procedures and responsable diving practices.

feel free to contact Dave at Deep Tech.
Pre-requisites: Advanced Nitrox Diver and Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent,
100 logged dives, of which 25 must be deeper than 30 msw. Minimum
18 years of age.
course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize
breathing gasses containing helium for dives that require staged decompression,
utilizing nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a
maximum depth of 300fsw/100msw. Simply put, this course will get you
diving places that only the most adventurous are trained to explore!
Although the percentage of qualified divers in this discipline is
still relatively small compared to non-technical, recreational diving,
don't underestimate the popularity and professionalism of the dedicated
